Freight Line to Construct New Terminal in Owatonna

Saia Motor Freight Line is proposing a new terminal to be built on 6 acres of land south of the National Guard Armory near Fleet Farm. Access to the project will happen on Alexander Drive. Saia has communicated with the City of Owatonna they expect less than 200 trucks a day. Council approved zoning change from commercial to light industrial for this project.

Saia is a publicly traded (NASDAQ: SAIA) company and does 30,000 shipments daily across 176 terminals. They have 11,000 employees companywide (Find More).

Free Rendezvous Encampment Brings History to Life

Extravaganza returns to the Village of Yesteryear this Sunday, July 10^th, Noon-4pm, for a fun-filled day of old-fashioned fun!

A Rendezvous encampment will be set up in the middle of the Village, and reenactors will be sharing their stories and activities with guests all afternoon.

Streetscape Work Continues

Utility work is planned within the Broadway Street intersection this week. Stair reconstruction at Vine Street is planned including vault wall work. Weekly business construction updated are held on Thursdays at 11:00 am in Central Park. Click HERE to for the North Cedar traffic change update.
