District News: An E-Newsletter for Roseville Area Schools Staff and Families

News for February 16, 2022

From the Superintendent
February 16, 2022
Good Afternoon Roseville Area Schools Families and Staff,
This week instructional leaders from across the district are discussing staffing for next school year. This is part of our annual budget process and involves looking at how changes in enrollment impact the number of staff at each school site. This year, a factor in this planning process includes following through on our commitment to voters to lower class sizes across the district using a portion of the additional operating revenue that was generously approved last November.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting with a new committee of students at RAHS who have been asked to provide regular advice and feedback to the office of the superintendent. It is so important to ensure that students’ voices are heard and that students have an impact on their learning environment. The students requested more direct communication from the district, similar to what the district sends to families. They also shared feedback about COVID-19 safety measures like masking, as well as nutrition services and bathroom accessibility.
Nothing energizes me more than when I am able to meet and talk with our students. It reminds me why we are doing this important work which remains centered around the district’s mission of Equity in All We Do.
Sincerely,
Jenny Loeck, Ed.D
Superintendent
