Each year on December 21, the first day of winter and the longest night of the year, the Council observes Homeless Persons' Memorial Day. Unfortunately, 2020 marks 30 years of honoring those without homes who have passed away in our communities.
Make plans to attend the national Homeless Persons' Memorial Day virtual memorial on Monday, December 21, at 4 p.m. ET, hosted by the National Coalition for the Homeless. Register here!
You can visit the Homeless Persons' Memorial Day page on our website to find a social media toolkit and resources for creating a meaningful experience in your community. The Council also will host a Twitter storm chat on December 21 at 12 p.m. ET; look for more details in the coming weeks.
