The Office of Climate and Culture is committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and connected environment across the Department of Pathology & Immunology. To strengthen community, encourage meaningful connections, and enhance a sense of belonging, we are pleased to reintroduce our Community Groups. Community Groups provide opportunities for faculty, staff, and trainees to connect across roles, shared identities, life experiences, interests, hobbies, and professional goals. These groups are intended to promote visibility, build supportive networks, and create spaces where individuals feel comfortable sharing experiences, perspectives, and ideas in an authentic and respectful environment.
We invite you to consider participating in one or more of the following Community Groups:
Multicultural Network – A community that celebrates the diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences of our department members while fostering connection, understanding, and belonging.
Minds in Motion – A supportive space focused on well-being, resilience, and work-life integration, where members can connect around mental, emotional, and physical wellness.
Professional Growth Network – A community dedicated to career development, networking, mentorship, and the sharing of knowledge and experiences to support professional success at all career stages.
We hope these groups will provide meaningful opportunities to build relationships, strengthen our community, and support the personal and professional growth of our department members. Please sign up HERE. Contact Lauri Thienes or Molly DeClue if you have any questions.
