Use the new campus calendar

UC San Diego’s new campuswide calendar system (calendar.ucsd.edu) has been active for a few months now — are you taking advantage of its features? It’s easy to generate customized code for a widget that displays upcoming events and activities on your CMS web page.

Unlike previous campus calendar systems (or free third-party calendars you may now be using), you can enter an event *once* and have it appear on the main campus calendar website, the student events calendar (if applicable), and your own (and others’) website calendar pages, without needing to enter the event multiple times.

In addition to tags and searchable keywords that help you create your custom widget (and help users find events), the new calendar system also accommodates repeating events, multiple-day events, built-in event registration, QR-code guest check-in, and other snazzy new features.
