College Events for All

We'll be celebrating colleges all week with special student dress-up days! Over 75 Christian colleges will attend the fair on Tuesday night in the Academic Building, open to the Valor community and beyond. On Friday, parents are encouraged to attend as 80+ representatives from top colleges all over the U.S. will be on campus making special presentations to students and parents.

Emergency Alert Test Today

Parents, you will receive a test of the Rave Emergency Alert System today at 3:00 pm via text, phone call, and email. You do not need to do anything other than contact Tige Watson if you do not receive the test. You can set your communication preferences and update your contact infromation for these alerts online. Thank you for your partnership in keeping our students and campus safe.

College Spirit Dress-Up Days

Starting Tuesday, students are encouraged to celebrate the college events on campus with themed dress-up days! 
  • Tuesday: Wear your favorite college shirt
  • Wednesday: Dress in your dream job attire
  • Thursday: Go all out with college athletic swag
  • Friday: Business-casual for College Day

Don't Miss Denim & Diamonds

This Thursday, hundreds of parents will gather at Mike Ward Maserati for an evening of delicious Italian food, incredible auction items, and updates on ways to support your favorite Valor programs. If you've been planning to attend this event, please note that the deadline for purchasing tickets is Monday, September 24.

Free Media Resource

The Valor Library would like to offer you access to RightNow Media, the “Netflix of Christian Bible Studies.” Once you have created an account, you will have access to thousands of video Bible studies, leadership videos, conference sessions and resources on parenting, marriage, discipleship, and more.

Calling All Freshmen

Freshmen interested in student leadership can now apply for Valor's chapter of the Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy, a national program focused on "impact through action". Valor will be accepting 30 freshmen who are committed to engaging in monthly labs that focus on critical leadership skills. Apply online before Monday, October 1.

Lifetouch Picture Orders

Students should have already received their proofs or orders from pictures that were taken on August 16. If your student has not received their proof/order, email Rochelle Miller.
Students' pictures can be viewed online using their Portrait ID and Access Code from their proof sheet. If you don't have your student's individual Portrait ID and Access Code, contact Lorene Kennedy at 303.565.5203. 

Lifetouch Picture Retakes

Any students needing to retake their school picture should visit the Valor Center Upper Lobby on Wednesday, September 26 during A or B lunch. Students do not need to make an appointment.  
You can order picture retakes online using the picture day ID CG028560Y1 for up to 48 hours. After that time, a proof will be sent home with the Portrait ID and Access Code used to view and order students' pictures online.

Senior Yearbook Tributes

Senior parents, this is your opportunity to honor your Senior in the back of the Valor yearbook. Prices vary according to deadlines, so get your tribute in early! You can start the process online today.

A Look Ahead at Discovery

Are you interested in learning more about the opportunities to get involved in Discovery this year? At Discovery Night on Sunday, October 7 you will learn about all the experiences planned for the 2018-2019 school year right before applications open.

On Wednesday, September 26, students around the world gather around their flagpoles to pray for their communities. All are welcome to join our student-led group in the Front Circle at 7:15 am to lift up our school, friends, families and nation.
