The annual Spring Career Fair, hosted by Career Services, will take place on campus on Monday, March 30th.

80+ employers, including Dealer.com, Mullen, MyWebGrocer, Department of Homeland Security/USCIS, Fuse, and National Life Group will be at Champlain for the Fair.   Employers will be recruiting for full-time, part-time, seasonal, and internship opportunities. All are invited to attend.

No one epitomizes the modern definition of an empowered woman more than Attorney Jasmine Rand, as she paves the way for a new generation. Her presentations will prove how any girl can grow up to become a confident and successful woman and create positive change, even from a very young age.
Rand is probably best known as the attorney of the Trayvon Martin family and from her countless appearances in the media concerning this world-famous case. She is a champion for civil and human rights – winning awards from the National Bar Association among others.

Join the Leahy Center for Digital Investigation and Champlain College Thursday, April 16th  at 6:30 p.m. in Alumni Auditorium for a public  lecture with Art Coviello.
During his talk, Mr. Coviello will focus on a topic that is both timely and incredibly complex.  Breached: Securing our Data and the Cost of Failure.  This theme will be used across multiple issues, audiences and also to explore the potential threat to our data privacy and the evolution of security strategy to meet the challenges facing us in the 21st century.
In 2015, Art Coviello retired as Executive Chairman of RSA, The Security Division of EMC.  During Mr. Coviello's two-decade career at RSA, the company evolved from its roots in authentication and encryption to being a leader in the most important emerging areas of information security, including security analytics, identity, and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC).  Mr. Coviello was a driving force in RSA's rapid growth during his tenure, increasing revenue from $25 million in 1995 to revenues of more than $1billion in 2014. Mr. Coviello's decades of expertise and influence have made him a recognized leader in the industry and he continues to play a key role in national and international cyber-security initiatives.

The 2015 Elevator Pitch Competition was a big sucess!
The consensus campus-wide is that this year's competition was the best one ever--with consistently strong and frequently entertaining pitches by all of the student finalists.

2nd Annual Alumni-Student  
Etiquette Dinner 
Champlain College hosted its 2nd Annual Alumni-Student Etiquette Dinner on Thursday, March 19th in Perry Hall. Students from the Class of 2015 enjoyed a delicious meal and had the opportunity to network with local Alumni and get to know Champlain's President, Donald J. Laackman. The evening concluded with an engaging presentation by Daniel Post Senning of the Emily Post Institute, widely considered the definitive source on etiquette for generations. Dan shared tips on social dining etiquette, effective communication skills, etiquette in the work place, and ways to leave a positive and lasting impression during interviews.
The Agency of Commerce and Community Development (ACCD) and the Vermont Department of Labor are partnering with businesses, the Vermont Recruiters’ Association, chambers of commerce, higher education institutions, alumni networks, and others who have agreed to spread the word that Vermont has great jobs
The campaign is designed to attract professionals from out of state, keep recent graduates in-state, and make sure others know about the tremendous opportunities here in Vermont, all the while providing easy-to-access online job search tools for in-state job seekers here and elsewhere.
