Western North Carolina Are Calling |
Welcome to the inaugural edition of Due South, G&G’s weekly newsletter devoted to travel throughout the region. Each Wednesday, you can look forward to reading about popular destinations, hidden gems, editors’ picks, and inspiration for your next trip. If you like this newsletter, please forward it to a friend (they can sign up here), and if you have suggestions for future editions, let us know.
This week we’re highlighting Western North Carolina, a preferred vacation choice for generations of Southerners. Below, find an Asheville weekend itinerary, discover scenic rivers for trout fishing, and learn about vibrant towns and historic resorts in the area. But it’s not all about the Blue Ridge. We also hear about an editor’s favorite spots on St. Simons Island, check in on must-visit breakfast joints across the South, and more. We hope you enjoy. —Emily Daily, newsletter editor
