Green Tip
Please enjoy the following eco-friendly tidbit brought to you by Friends of the Environment:
Even though most of us try to eat healthy food, we still use cooking oil. So what to do with leftover used oil? Down the drain is a no-no and you can't really pour it into the trash. The solution is All Valley Resource (All Valley Resource) located between Catherine Store and El Jebel. They collect used cooking oil, both commercial and residential. It is filtered then sold to companies that process and re-purpose the oil. It can be made into feed stock, biofuel, biodiesel, and other products. Put your oil into a leak-proof container and simply drop it off at All Valley Resources. No charge. And you can feel good that your used cooking oil will have a new life.

Reminders & Highlights

Monday Winter Golf Course Meet Up!
Want to get out and enjoy everything RVR offers in the winter, especially with all the great snow? Join a group of residents every Monday for an outdoor adventure on the golf course: cross country skiing, snowshoeing, or walking. Meet at the north end of the golf course parking lot at 8:45 a.m. We’ll explore the front nine, back nine, or both! Each nine can be done in about 75 minutes. Come prepared to get some exercise, enjoy the outdoors, and hopefully meet some new neighbors.
For more information, please contact Sarah Murr at sarahmurr100@gmail.com.
Twentieth Amendment
During the January Board meeting, the Twentieth Amendment to the Design Guidelines was presented to the board. The new Amendment will be voted on at the February Board of Directors meeting.
We invite the community to preview it here: Twentieth Amendment.

Meeting Minutes
Do you know you can view past Board Meeting Minutes on the RVR website? The RVR Executive Board approves the previous month's minutes at their monthly meeting, they are then posted to the website.

Holiday Décor Removal
As a kind reminder, it is almost time to take down your festive holiday decorations! Per the RVR Holiday Lighting policy, "Lighting may be on until January 31. Holiday yard ornaments/décor, visible holiday lights and house icicle lights must be off and removed by January 31. Outdoor tree lights must be turned off after January 31, but homeowners have until March 1 to remove tree lights."
Ranch House
Temporary Closure
The Ranch House will be closed from Monday, Feb. 27 through Sunday, March 5. This will allow for necessary repairs, maintenance, and detailed deep cleaning.

Fitness

Group Fitness Classes
As the budget was being written in 2022, the board and management felt that a nominal fee for fitness classes would help to offset instructor costs, which have been increasing. Beginning on Monday, Jan. 30 there will be a $2 per person charge for group fitness classes.
