March Volunteering
Are you ready to 'spring' into action?
Salutations, Volunteers!

Can you believe it's March already? We sure can't! With spring right around the corner, things are about to really heat up!

As always, to sign up for a volunteer shift this month and receive a month of free Garbage to Garden service, RSVP by email, and we will help answer any questions you may have. Remember, events are first come, first serve.

Happy Composting!
The Garbage to Garden Team

Mass Audobon
At Mass Audubon, they believe that every person can make a positive impact in protecting the nature of Massachusetts. One enjoyable way to have an impact on the environment is by volunteering at one of their wildlife sanctuaries or at their headquarters in Lincoln. There are many ways you can get involved, email Jackie for more information!

Land Stewardship
Sunday March 17th 1-3 pm
Cut and pull unwanted plants, pile brush, and restore wildlife habitat.

Groundwork Somerville
The annual Somerville Maple Syrup Project has returned for its 16th season, beginning with a local maple tree tapping, and culminating in the annual Maple Syrup Boil Down Festival on March 16th at Groundwork Somerville’s urban farm at 138 South Street, Somerville, MA.
A series of maple-related events will lead up to the Boil Down event, with plenty of opportunities to get closely involved in the tapping and syruping process right here in Somerville. Each year over 1000 community members participate in the maple events, including over 500 Somerville students.

Maple Syrup Project Sap Collectors:
Collect sap from the Maple trees located on Tufts Campus
If you are looking for an excuse to get outside, learn something new, or volunteer in your community, then this is the opportunity for you! No prior experience required!
We ask that you are able to provide your own mode of transportation and a willingness to carry potentially heavy buckets.
Volunteer with Food Link!

Food Link is looking for volunteers to help on a regular basis with the collection and distribution of donated food. Volunteers generally work in groups to collect food from grocery stores and bakeries, sort the food and then deliver it to social services agencies in the area.
Volunteer with us @ the Farmers' Market!
