Download the Rectangle app if you want more control over where and how you snap windows on your MacBook. Rectangle allows you to quickly move windows around your MacBook’s screen with just a few quick, customizable keyboard shortcuts. You can quickly snap application windows to the left, right, top, bottom, or center of your screen, as well as incrementally adjust their size. If you decide to give Rectangle a try, disable default Mac screen tiling features when prompted during application setup.
While Rectangle is just for MacBooks, a similar but more limited window-snapping functionality is available on Windows computers by default by using the [⊞ + Arrow] keyboard shortcuts.
