Map the System: Oxford, England
Each year our social innovation practice area participates in Map the System, a program that looks at complex issues through the lens of systems thinking. We are proud to announce that our team of graduate students from Vanderbilt Peabody College went on to compete in the global competition in Oxford, England. Hosted by the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. There were 950+ teams registered globally, 64 higher education institutions participating, 45 finalists presented, and 21 countries represented. Our team placed as a runner-up in the final round of 6 teams.

Climate, Health, and Energy Equity Lab (CHEEL)
The Climate, Health, and Energy Equity Lab (CHEEL) combines research, practice, and teaching to advance just approaches to climate mitigation and renewable transitions. The Lab is co-founded and directed by Dr. Carol Ziegler (Vanderbilt School of Nursing), Dr. Zdravka Tzankova (Program in Climate & Environmental Studies), and Dr. James Muchira (Vanderbilt School of Nursing).

Applications are open for our all new Wond'ry Quantum Course!The Wond'ry Quantum course is a free and virtual eight-month program that will act as a platform for developing quantum talent so you can secure internships/job opportunities in the quantum computing industry. Participants will gain knowledge about quantum computing, and how to apply it in the real world. Upon completion of the program, you will attain enough technical fluency required to communicate with experts in the quantum industry, while being able to provide quantum solutions to real world problems. Current Full Time Positions:
The Program Coordinator for Biomedical Innovation works in the Wond’ry, Vanderbilt University’s Innovation Center. The ideal candidate embodies a demonstrated commitment to, and interest in entrepreneurship and innovation in the biomedical life sciences. The Biomedical Innovation Program Coordinator will support the day-to-day and long-term management, implementation, evaluation, and growth of core programming for the Wond’ry’s exciting new biomedical innovation initiative and facilitation of NSF I-Corps. The Program Coordinator will play a key collaborative role in working with the Director to design program strategy, content, and implementation of I-Corps and biomedical innovation that leads to meaningful, measurable outcomes for all involved.
The Administrative Officer works in the Wond’ry, Vanderbilt University’s Innovation Center, and is a key individual contributor who will initiate, coordinate and perform a diverse set of support tasks to ensure the Wond’ry team has the resources needed to operate smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include day-to-day management of the financial, business, and grant operations for the center, including serving as Financial Unit Manager (FUM) in the Oracle Cloud administrative system.

Dan DrogoshHaving grown up in Kalamazoo, MI, and attended Michigan State University, Dan’s passion for music is what ultimately brought him to Tennessee. He still currently writes, records, and performs music with his southern rock band called The Delta Sons here in Nashville. However, Dan recently moved to Nashville after spending the last 8 years helping start one of Launch Tennessee’s entrepreneur development centers called theCO. He managed the day-to-day operations of the facility, its maker space full of 3d printers and other tech toys, and participated in community leadership opportunities for the city of Jackson. Dan never meets a stranger and truly enjoys developing ideas, products, and students, so please be sure to introduce yourself to him!
