A buyback quote is required to sell books! No building printers will be available, so please print your quotes beforehand. To create your quote, go to the MBS sellback site by clicking here. Remember to log in to the Online Bookstore account that you used to purchase your books so you don’t miss out on the Guaranteed Buyback Program.
Once in the MBS system, select the books to sell or enter the ISBNs of the books purchased from other sources. Always review your list and confirm your home address before clicking “Finalize My Buyback Quote.” Print one quote for every five books that you want to sell.
Please note: You must have a printed quote, or textbooks will not be accepted at the Textbook Buy Back.
If you need additional information, please contact Madeleine McKinney-Torres in the Dean’s Office at 317.524.7118.

Summer Reading Assignments

Every student is required to read over the summer according to his/her upcoming class selection. Families may either purchase the book (new or used), borrow from the public library, or read the selection on an e-reader; however, all students should have a copy of their required reading on the first day of class in August.
While there are no outside assignments, other than annotations, attached to these readings, all teachers will be assessing students within the first few days of class. (Assessments may include, but are not limited to, essays, objective tests, written analyses, etc.)  Thus, taking notes, in addition to the required annotating, over the readings is recommended.
If you have any questions, please contact Christina Neukam (department chair) at cneukam@brebeuf.org.

National Honors Society News

Brebeuf Jesuit’s chapter of the National Honor Society would like announce a few changes to the program for the 2017-2018 school year. NHS will now be more closely following the school calendar, and will open the application process up to sophomores, juniors and seniors this August, with induction to be held in Mid-September. Rising Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors are all encouraged to apply. Applications will be available in the counseling office at the start of the school year.
Secondly, Lindsay Gross will no longer be moderating NHS. Ms. Gross has been instrumental to NHS during her two years moderating, and we are sad to see her step back. Filling Ms. Gross’ absence will be Tyrene Hartsell of the Academic Counseling Department.
Lastly, please note that the GPA requirements for the 2018-2019 school year will be increasing from a 3.5 to a 3.75 on the 4.0 scale. Students initiated under the current policy will be expected to maintain a 3.5 through their senior year. Starting in the Fall of 2018, new inductees will be required to have, and maintain, a 3.75 GPA to be considered for membership.
Students interested in applying should note that ten hours of community service will be required by any student wishing to gain membership, beyond that requested of students in their community service class. We hope students will find time this summer to meet these goals.

Freshman Class Kings Island Trip Cancelled

Due to the low response for the Kings Island trip, the unfortunate decision had to be made to cancel it for this year.
Families that turned in in a check, are asked to please pick it up from the Dean's Office by Friday, May 26.
If you are unable to pick it up, checks will be shredded at the end of the school day on Friday, May 26.
If you have any questions, please contact Madeleine McKinney-Torres at mmckinneytorres@Brebeuf.org.

Eat Breathe Thrive: An Integrative Mind-Body Program Comes to Brebeuf

A new wellness and mindfulness program will be offered at Brebeuf next year combining psycho-education, yoga, and meditation.
