A Word From Our Head of School

Dear LCA families,

We have officially reached the halfway point of the academic school year. I encourage both students and parents to reflect on their progress thus far. Let us take a moment to celebrate successes.

• Boys' basketball, co-ed wrestling, and middle school and high school cheer appeared at State-level competitions.

• The High School Drama Troupe was recognized as State Honorees with “Excellent” performance ratings.

• Elementary students demonstrated academic growth and enthusiasm to worship Jesus during chapel.

• Recently, Upper School students took a Deep Dive into the word of God during Spiritual Emphasis Week.

• Elementary Honor Roll: 43% of students in grades 4 and 5 achieved a GPA equal to or greater than 3.5 during the second quarter.

• Upper School Honor Roll: 53% of students in grades 6-12 achieved a GPA equal to or greater than 3.5 during the first semester.

All of this requires the dedication of a committed faculty and staff. Thankfully, LCA has been blessed with the best!

During the month of March, Christians all around the world will celebrate Holy Week. Holy Week is the week leading up to Easter Sunday, commemorating the final week of the life of Jesus. Students will participate in a Good Friday Chapel on Thursday, March 28, at 2:00 p.m. We welcome all families to attend. If you do not already have a church to love, I invite you to attend one of the many services at Life Center during Easter weekend.

Every Spring, LCA hosts the Dreams Auction to raise funds to support our vibrant program. The money raised during the auction contributes to capital, technological, and security improvements, advances student programs, and supports tuition assistance. We ask that every family consider donating or procuring at least one item or service. Click here for more information. Scholarship Awards Assembly

March 8

We are delighted to invite you to the Life Christian Foundation Scholarship Awards Assembly on Friday, March 8, where we will recognize selected students for various scholarships and endowments and celebrate the contributions of donors who have created a lasting impact and legacy in supporting Christian education at LCA.

Parent's Night Out

March 8

Join us for our 2023-24 Parent's Night Out! This is a great opportunity to drop your kiddos off at LCA and date your spouse, refill your energy tank, or enjoy an evening of fellowship. The hours are 5:30-9:30 p.m., pizza dinner is provided, and the cost is $25 per child. Children ages 3-12 are welcome to join us! To register, please fill out this form.

High School Tolo

March 9

Life Christian Academy's Winter Tolo will take place on Saturday, March 9 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at the Family Fun Center in Tukwila. The cost is $22 per person and includes unlimited go karts, bumper boats, bumper cards, mini golf, lazer tag, one "you pick" attraction, and 30 arcade points. To purchase tickets, please click here.

ASB Spirit Dress | Green Day

March 15

All LCA students are invited to wear green on Friday, March 15 for our annual ASB Spirit Dress Day!

10th Grade Retreat

March 19

During our 10th Grade Retreat, students will spend a day filled with games, laughter, and a time to connect with other 10th graders. This year, we are combining fun activities like bowling and putt-putt golf, along with a time of worship and reflection. Lunch will be provided.

Elementary Concert Volunteers

Our Elementary Spring Concert is coming up soon and we are looking for volunteer seamstresses. Volunteers will meet at various times to sew capes, assist with sizing, and make alterations as needed. All skill levels are welcomed and appreciated! For more information, please contact Ms. Geesey.
