Welcome      Grow       Serve      Celebrate

Thursday, October 19, 5:00 to 8:00 pm: Scarecrow Festival at Liberty Park. Leadership at Parkway Hills set two goals as part of our next faithful steps as church. One, tell our story. Two, be a presence in our community. Our first community event is the Scarecrow Festival. We will have an axe-throwing booth (it’s foam!), candy, and Parkway Hills info. We need volunteers to put on their Parkway Hills t-shirt and work an hour slot. Sign up to volunteer here.

Sunday, October 22, 10:45 am: Worship on the Lawn. Bring a chair, sunglasses, and maybe an umbrella to aid with the sun, and join us on our beautiful campus to enjoy worship in creation. This would be a great Sunday to invite a friend. We will not livestream this service.
Sunday, October 22, 5:00 to 7:00 pm: Trick or Treat Trail and Chili Cook-off. Our evening will look a little bit different this year. The Trick or Treat Trail will begin at 5:00 with games and candy led by our Youth and Bridge students. Meal begins at 6:00.  Bring a chair, come as you are (or in costume!), and enjoy an evening of fellowship and fun.

Tonight, Wednesday, October 18: Spaghetti Meal at 5:45 followed by activities at 6:20.
Adults: Things Hidden by Richard Rohr book club in the Worship Center or Beds for Kids building in the basement.
Youth: Homework Night.
Bridge: Work on Beds for Kids.
Kids: Science Night.

Wednesday, October 25: The plan is for an outdoor meal of hot dogs and sandwiches at 5:45 pm. Reserve your place here.

Need a Parkway Hills

T-shirt?

Call the church office and request one. If we get 10 more requests, we can do a new order. Cost is $20 with a portion going to support the mission and ministry of PHUMC.
This year's event is part two of last year’s Summit on Evangelism.Clergy and laity from across the conference will be leading breakout sessions, sharing real examples of ministries and ways that congregations are connecting with their communities and changing lives for Jesus Christ. This is not an event to miss.

As people of faith, we will look at the compelling reasons it should matter to us, that all Mississippians have access to good healthcare and hospitals.
