Bond Project Construction Phase 1 Completed!

Bond project construction is really coming along with completion of Phase 1 for the Ranch House, Dakota Lodge and Community Center. The staff offices have temporarily moved to the newly renovated Bradford Room (formerly the A/V and map rooms). Residents can now come into the Ranch House through the main entrance. With Phase 2 underway, there will be increased activity at all three sites over the next three months as the projects near completion.

Community Center Fitness Center Now Open! Try it for Free March 21 through April 10

The newly renovated fitness center on the lower level of the Community Center opened today! While there are still some minor changes underway, you can try out the fitness center for free from March 21 through April 10. Check out the Spring Break Class Schedule and come try out a class! The facility has brand new, state-of-the-art equipment, updated fitness spaces and remodeled locker rooms. We suggest that you bring headphones to use with the new treadmills and bring your own locks for the lockers. Anyone who had a pass that was put on hold will be credited for the amount of time missed, and you will need to purchase a new pass when the new registration system is open. Please note that no kids under 16 are allowed in the fitness area without a parent unless weight-room certified through KCRMD. If you have any questions, contact the Community Center at 303-979-2233.

Wildfire Evacuation Exercise in Ken-Caryl Valley May 21

There will be a Wildland Fire Evacuation Exercise in Ken-Caryl Valley on Saturday, May 21. Emergency vehicles will swarm into Ken-Caryl Valley as citizens are evacuating from a simulated wildfire. The response by fire departments and law enforcement may look real, but it will only be a drill. Those living in Ken-Caryl Valley and the North Ranch will be invited to take part in the voluntary community evacuation drill. The exercise will begin at 8 a.m., and the evacuation will start at 9 a.m. Residents of the area will receive an evacuation notice via telephone. Residents who have signed up for CodeRed will also receive notification via smartphone. If you haven’t signed up for emergency notifications through CodeRed, please sign up at www.your911.net. The drill is meant to simulate a real-life emergency and test evacuation procedures. Additional information will be provided by West Metro and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office prior to the evacuation exercise on May 21.
