Dear SUNY New Paltz Community,
As we look ahead to Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 5, students, faculty and staff are preparing to host multiple events that we want to share with the campus community.
These programs are created by our community, for our community, and are a testament to the thoughtful, non-partisan role our University can play in supporting voter participation and continued civic engagement. Our thanks to the many individuals across campus who have helped drive campus electoral education and voter registration efforts in recent months.
We also want to share the reminder that SUNY New Paltz provides an on-campus polling site for those registered to vote in New Paltz District 9, which includes students who registered using their on-campus residence hall address. The campus polling site will be at Elting Gymnasium on Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 6 a.m. – 9 p.m.
If you’re not sure where to vote, or if you’d like to confirm your registration status, please use this voter lookup tool from the New York State Board of Elections.
Please see below for more information about opportunities to gather, reflect and process in a welcoming space with colleagues and friends.
