Dear Colleagues,
I am honored to announce that Ms. Twinki Mistry will be joining San José State University as our new Associate Vice President for Enterprise Applications June 15, 2026. Ms. Mistry comes to SJSU from the CSU San Francisco Bay Region Network, where she currently serves as Director of IT Service Management. Prior to that role, Twinki served in IT leadership roles at Cal State East Bay. She brings more than 23 years of experience working CSU Information Technology positions at Cal State East Bay and San José State University.
In my discussions with Twinki, she stated that “…returning to SJSU feels like coming full circle. I began my career here as a student assistant in 2002, and it is both humbling and inspiring to now serve as Associate Vice President for Enterprise Applications. Along the way, the CSU has become more than a workplace, it has become my second home. I look forward to partnering with faculty, staff, students, campus leaders, and public and private industry partners to advance innovation, strengthen technology services, and support student success. Together, we will continue to build upon the excellence, impact, and mission of San José State University.”
Twinki has a stellar reputation as a collaborator and a leader who can oversee implementations of complex enterprise-wide systems. I am excited to welcome her to our Information Technology leadership team.
Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer, the Associate Vice President for Enterprise Applications will lead the newly reconfigured Enterprise Applications group in the IT division. She will also support efforts to improve and automate services to the university community. Her leadership skills and knowledge of PeopleSoft will be important in SJSU’s transition of our legacy data warehouse to the modern CSU-wide Data Lake environment in Amazon Web Services.
Ms. Mistry earned a Master of Public Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, both from San José State University. She has overseen a portfolio of over 200 applications and led modernization initiatives that improved operational efficiency, reduced technical debt, and enabled data-informed decision-making.
I want to thank the entire search committee for their thoughtful work on this important search, as well as everyone who contributed feedback throughout the process. Special thanks to Mr. James Anderson, Senior Director/Architect - Enterprise Applications, who chaired the search committee. Please join me by warmly welcoming Ms. Mistry to SJSU. I look forward to collaborating with her as she begins this key role and helps advance IT services to the entire Spartan community!
