Students Share Stories of Perseverance at Potluck Event

On Tuesday, August 14 fifteen students shared their stories at our annual Joy of Writing potluck and student reading event. It was a wonderful evening with delicious food and over 70 guests in attendance!
This annual publication is an opportunity for our learners to have their stories published in a collection of writing with their peers. This activity builds confidence in our students and allows many of them to share their stories of perseverance.
You can support our students and programs by purchasing a copy of this year's Joy of Writing at New Dominion Bookshop or on Amazon

Citizenship Classes Wrap Up

Citizenship Coordinator, Paige Zelikow, presented her Intermediate-level Citizenship Class with certificates of completion. Twenty-four students attended a citizenship class this summer. Fall classes will begin Sept. 10.

Supply Drive Continues

Just like any classroom, we are always in need of specific supplies for our programs. Items in greatest demand include: dry erase markers, index cards, copy paper, and tissues. You can also view our Amazon Wish List for added inspiration. Donations allow us to spend our resources supporting our students and their progress towards self-sufficiency. Thank you for your support!
