Mr. Underwood succeeds Bob Stambazze, but Mr. Stambazze remains with WARU doing play by play for high school sports.

Corrected: After 30 years of leading Metropolitan Indianapolis Public Broadcasting's N-T/WFYI-FM (90.1fm, Indianapolis) and WFYI-TV (Channel 20, Indianapolis), President and CEO Lloyd Wright will retire next year. Mr. Wright, age 65, began his broadcasting career after graduating from Indiana University. Mr. Wright started off as a Director of Instructional Broadcasting at the Indiana Department of Education, and then worked for the Indiana University News Bureau. From there, it was off to Chicago, where he became Broadcast Operations Manager in Chicago at WTTW-TV (Channel 11), before joining WFYI-TV in 1988. At WFYI, he started as Director of Program Production, before being appointed WFYI president and CEO in 1989.

September 16: In 2000, then-WEXI (102.9fm, Huntington) dropped their simulcast of then-sister Rock/WXKE (103.9fm, Fort Wayne) and flipped formats to dance and club music, as "Energy 102.9."
September 17: In 1962, 88.9fm, Notre Dame signs on as WSND-FM, and still is.
September 18: In 2001, David Hicks dies. Age 62. Mr. Hicks was CEO of Hicks Broadcasting, which owned three Michigan radio stations (WKMI, WKFR, WRKR) and WRBR-FM (103.9fm, South Bend).
September 19: In 1988, 104.3fm, Casey, Illinois signs on as WCBH-FM, and still is. In 2011, WDND (1620am, South Bend) flips format from ESPN Radio to a simulcast of sister CHR WNDV (92.9fm, South Bend).
September 21: In 1995, then-WKQM (96.3fm, Churubusco) flipped formats from easy listening ("WKQM The Soft Sounds of the City") to alternative music, as "96.3 The Edge". Hear the sign-on, after the end of their stunt TV theme songs format. In 2000, 102.9fm in Edinburgh signs on as WYGB. This allocation later moved to 100.3fm, but remains WYGB. In 2005, 95.9fm in Franklin flips format from Christian AC/WIJY ("Joy 96") to Oldies/WIAU as "Gold 95.9" (What's the chemical symbol for gold? AU.) In 2009, WGBJ (102.3fm, Auburn) flipped formats at 6:00PM from Regional Mexican to CHR as "Power 102.3".
September 22: In 1947, 1060am in Benton Harbor, Michigan signs on as WHFB, and still is.

You should have 2+ years of commercial radio experience in a rated market. Familiarity with, and passion for Pop music is a must.
