Payment Options for Traffic and Criminal
Need to pay a traffic ticket or a criminal fine? My office has many options to make it easy for you to conduct your business with us.

The quickest way for you to make a payment is online right from the Orange County Clerk of Courts website at www.myorangeclerk.com. You can also make a payment by mail or in person at any of our 5 locations. For remote options, you can also make payments at any Amscot or Western Union location.

With a traffic ticket, you have numerous choices such as requesting a payment extension, electing to take traffic school, or requesting a hearing. In criminal and traffic cases, you may also be eligible for a payment plan.

There are a lot of ways to make payments. To see more details on all these options, go to www.myorangeclerk.com, and watch this video with Slice below.
Clerks Against Domestic Violence Workshop Gets Recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice
Our inaugural Clerks Against Domestic Violence Workshop received national attention by the U.S. Department of Justice's Office on Violence Against Women recently. I had the opportunity to present about this initiative and how we collaborate with our strategic stakeholders in combatting domestic violence. The Improving Criminal Justice Responses to Domestic Violence Program hosted a conference at the Florida Hotel in Orlando for those in government and nonprofit sector interested in applying for grants for the work they do in domestic violence awareness.

We shared our involvement in the Domestic Violence Taskforce and Domestic Violence Commission, along with our Clerks Care initiatives with more than 300 attendees from across the U.S. They also learned tips to encourage their fellow clerks to get involved in strategic outreach efforts.

It was truly an honor to share the hard work my team has done in reaching out to the community and helping victims of domestic violence through our targeted outreach.
Orange Appeal Magazine's Women of the Year
I have some exciting news to share. Orange Appeal magazine recently selected me as one of their Women of the Year for 2019. The founder and editor of the magazine described the six of us as “brave, bold, and dynamic women in Central Florida recognized as accomplished, articulate, and passionate.”

I am truly honored to be recognized for my role in serving and giving back to the community, especially with domestic violence awareness and helping customers access the justice system.

The honor came as a total surprise to me. When I was preparing to do what I thought would be an interview about our involvement in domestic violence awareness, the editor shared the news about the special recognition.
I hope you can take time to read the issue and learn more about the lives and stories of the dynamic women I was featured alongside this year. You can access the January-February 2019 issue here: https://www.orangeappeal.com/issue/january-february-2019/

Instructional Video of the Month: Applying for a Marriage License
The "Connect with the Clerk" video series was developed to educate and improve the customer experience. The series helps answer frequently asked questions with short, informative videos and provides step by step instructions for Clerk of Courts topics in English and Spanish. Each month, we will highlight one of these videos. In celebration of our Valentine's Day Group Wedding ceremony, this month features a video on how to apply for a marriage license. February Star Performer
Congratulations to Angel Garay-Bravo, our Star Performer for the month of February. Angel is a Trial Clerk in our Family Division. Colleagues say he is a delightful person who embodies what teamwork is.

"Angel is always willing to cover a break, not just for me but for other clerks as well. He responds quickly to his emails, always has a positive attitude, and never hesitates to help," said a teammate. "There are some people who are not willing to take risks in life, and Angel is the exact opposite. Angel is always willing to assist, and get the job done."
