Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce Jennifer Corgiat as our new Associate Vice President for University Budget and Financial Strategy, effective June 1.
This role is responsible for helping guide the university's financial planning and budget strategy, including oversight of our enterprise-wide budget and long-term financial planning efforts. Working closely with university leadership, Jen will help ensure that our financial decisions support the university's priorities, strengthen fiscal sustainability, and advance student success.
Many of you already know Jen through her work at SJSU. As Director of Resource Management for the Student Affairs Division, she has provided leadership for approximately $81 million in operations across more than 30 departments and partnerships. In that role, she worked closely with campus leaders on budgeting, financial planning, workforce strategy, and resource management.
Jen also brings valuable experience from across the CSU system. Previously serving as Director of Budget Planning and Administration at California State University, Stanislaus, she led campus budget planning efforts, strengthened financial reporting practices, and helped improve access to budget information and financial decision-making tools.
I’m incredibly thankful to Mike Vizzusi and the Budget Office team for their diligent work during this transition period. Their steady leadership, expertise, and commitment to the university have helped ensure that critical budget and financial planning work continued without interruption. I'm grateful for their dedication and for the care they bring to supporting the university community every day.
