- Dr. Scott’s Open Door, a chance for students to meet with DASA Vice Chancellor and Dean Doneka R. Scott, will have its first session of 2024 on Jan. 30 from 4-5 p.m. Please share this and the upcoming monthly sessions with your students!
- Three exhibitions are now open at the Gregg Museum of Art & Design: “Leading by Design,” “Selections from the Collections” and “The Art of John Mark Hall.”
- Two DASA programs are participating in this winter’s crowdfunding cycle. Check out the Crafts Center Wood Studio and Alternative Service Break fundraising campaigns and support your fellow DASA programs.
- Feb. 3-4 is an OIT extended maintenance weekend.
- Two actors with NC State connections are starring in the current Burning Coal Theatre production of “Hymn” that runs through Feb. 11: Juan Isler (Institute for Emerging Issues staff) and Byron Jennings II (an NC State and University Theatre alum, who starred as Colehouse Walker Jr. in the UT production of “Ragtime” in Feb. 2020).
- NC State was recognized by EAB at the national CONNECTED24 Conference for efforts to encourage students to reach out for assistance through Hand Raises in Navigate NC State. Check out all of the referral and hand raise options here.
- In addition to the university recognition, Katie Cartmell and Kasey Harris were asked to present on the training model and resources Advising Technology implemented to support campus users.
- NC State earned recognition as a “Best Workplace for Commuters” in 2024.
