Donor Support Helps Crafts Center Expand Studio Accessibility

NC State’s Crafts Center has a goal of making crafting accessible to everyone. Thanks to generous support from numerous donors throughout the 2024-25 school year, the center has taken a major step towards that reality. By installing six new tables, including two that are adjustable in the lapidary studio, the Crafts Center can now accommodate a wider range of needs, allowing everyone to make art comfortably and efficiently. There are also now two new, adjustable tables in the glass studio.

Engagement Opportunities with Vice Chancellor and Dean Scott

The next DASA co-working session with Vice Chancellor and Dean Doneka R. Scott is scheduled for July 15, with the next DASA Hours set for July 16.

A Place to Remember

NC State’s Veterans Memorial Garden is a culmination of efforts dating back to 2020 between Jeffrey Wright Military and Veteran Services and numerous other campus partners and alumni who believed in honoring fallen alumni.

In June, Centennial Campus Placemaking teamed up with NC State’s Career Development Center to host a professional clothing drive in support of student success.

Greek Village Phase IV Earns Environmental Certification

Greek Village Phase IV, which includes the Greek Village Townhomes, Apartments and Chapter Commons, achieved a LEED Silver Certification for sustainable building design.

Registration for the Crafts Center’s fall courses will open for faculty, staff and the general public on July 21.
Faculty and staff volunteers are needed for this year’s Packapalooza™ on Saturday, Aug. 23. Volunteers should sign up by Aug. 8 to receive their preferred t-shirt size.
