Congratulations to the Class of 2019 graduates! View highlights from Stanford's 128th commencement weekend, including speeches, videos, and photos.

Research

Malcolm Hodgskiss, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Geological Sciences, was awarded a grant from the France-Stanford Center to research the Great Oxygenation Event, which took place on Earth billions of years ago.

Firestone Medal
International relations major Lloyd Lyall, who delivered a speech at the 2019 IR diploma ceremony, received the Firestone Medal for Excellence in Undergraduate Research for his honors thesis. 
Indian journalist H R Venkatesh, a John S. Knight Journalism Fellow, discusses how news organizations can collaborate to fight disinformation, bias, and polarization in communities in South Asia in this interview.

Peace Edem, who graduated with a B.S. in human biology and a minor in global studies, with a specialization in African studies, is looking forward to joining Oliver Wyman, a global management consulting firm, in the fall.
