Ireland’s Ambassador to the U.S. Geraldine Byrne Nason (in green) hosted a celebration of sports diplomacy to kick off the Aer Lingus College Football Classic, a matchup between Texas Christian University and the University of North Carolina to be played in Dublin later this month. Held at the Residence of Ireland in Washington, D.C., on July 22, the special evening brought together several hundred guests, including members of Congress, business leaders, media, SuperFrog and Frog fans, along with counterparts from UNC. The TCU contingent was led by Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Mike Buddie.
