Tufts Student Life
MESSAGE FROM DEAN OF STUDENTS CAMILLE LIZARRÍBAR
 May 17, 2023
Dear Parents and Families,
As the academic year comes to an end, I am writing to thank you for your continued support and partnership during your student’s college experience and to wish you a restful and restorative summer.
Wherever your student is in their college journey, you have likely noticed their transition to adulthood. Each year, with new responsibilities, experiences, and connections, I hope your student is thriving and gaining a new appreciation for all that they accomplish along the way—the successes as well as setbacks. Recognizing how they navigate challenges is equally important to applauding their wins.
“Kind” is an adjective often used to describe Tufts students—it’s a human quality the world needs more of and one that I believe makes our student community distinct. Your young adults show us their character and their compassion on a daily basis and make us all extremely proud.
On behalf of the Student Life staff and campus partners, thank you for the trust and faith you place in us each year to support the personal and intellectual advancement of this next generation.
If you will be celebrating your young adult’s graduation from Tufts this weekend, congratulations on this milestone. We hope your student will continue to have a lifelong connection to their classmates and to the Tufts community. If your student will be returning for the 2023-24 academic year, we look forward to welcoming them in the fall and hope to see you at Parents and Family Weekend soon after, on October 13 and 14.
May the summer bring you happiness, health, and renewal.
With best wishes,
Camille Lizarríbar, JD, PhD
