Each project, each volunteer hour, and each partnership has contributed to providing housing and critical support to those in need. This incredible progress is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire HomeAid family.
Since HomeAid's inception, we are thrilled to share that HomeAid has completed 1,333 projects providing crucial housing and support for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

HomeAid Attends Sunbelt Builder Show in Fort Worth, Texas, Gathers Support for New Affiliate
By Robin Arnett
It was so great to get the opportunity to see old friends from throughout the years as well as make new friends. We were there to thank our current partners, explore new partners, and recruit for expansion in the North Texas market. We left the show with over 30 names of people already interested in attending the North Texas recruitment event.
We got to take in some local sites, including Billy Bob’s Texas, the World’s Largest Honky Tonk, and even had the opportunity to get our picture taken with a real live bull, which is not something you get to do every day.
The work being done across the country, the brand that we are all promoting, and the relationships across the building industry speak for themselves, and recruiting for the new affiliate HomeAid North Texas was easy as a result of this work.
We are holding a recruitment event on Tuesday, August 6th from 11:30 am – 1 pm CST at HistoryMaker Homes, 1038 Texan Trail, Grapevine, TX 76051. Please click HERE for information on how to attend this event.
We are looking forward to the Sunbelt Builders Show next year with the hopes that we will have great news to report about the amazing work of HomeAid Austin, HomeAid Houston, and the new HomeAid North Texas affiliate.

It was a pleasure to be surrounded by and learn from some of the best leadership, sales, and marketing talent in the building industry as well as the opportunity to introduce HomeAid to many new friends across the country.
HomeAid has been able to serve nearly 918,000 individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness for the past 35 years, in large part due to the support and commitment of the building industry. The ability to strengthen our own teams’ skills and spread the word about HomeAid will help us achieve our goal of building a future without homelessness.
"We are deeply honored to have been chosen as one of Shore Consulting's Partners with a Purpose and to participate in the annual Sales and Marketing Summit. This incredible opportunity allowed our team to learn, be inspired, and connect with like-minded professionals in the building industry. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jeff Shore and his team for their support and commitment to our mission. "Across That Bridge" by John Lewis
"Across That Bridge: A Vision for Change and the Future of America" by John Lewis is a profoundly inspiring book written by the late civil rights leader and U.S. Congressman. Known for his lifelong dedication to social justice and human rights, John Lewis shares his wisdom and insights in this powerful work, offering a roadmap for creating lasting social change.
In "Across That Bridge," Lewis reflects on eight key principles that guided his life and activism: faith, patience, study, truth, act, peace, love, and reconciliation. Through personal anecdotes, historical reflections, and philosophical musings, he illustrates how these principles can be applied to foster justice and equality. His recounting of pivotal moments from the civil rights movement, such as the march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama, serves as a poignant reminder of the courage and resilience required to make significant societal advancements.
Lewis emphasizes the power of nonviolent activism and the importance of staying committed to justice, even in the face of adversity. His experiences and reflections offer valuable lessons for anyone committed to making a positive difference in the world.
This message resonates deeply with HomeAid’s mission to build new lives for America's homeless families and individuals through housing and community outreach. At HomeAid, we understand that creating a safe and supportive environment is essential for fostering hope and dignity. John Lewis's call to action in "Across That Bridge" aligns with our efforts to address not only the immediate needs of those experiencing homelessness but also the underlying social and systemic issues that contribute to it.
HomeAid’s projects and programs aim to provide more than just shelter; they seek to build a sense of community and belonging, much like the inclusive society John Lewis envisioned. By promoting principles of faith, peace, and love, we strive to create an environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
"Across That Bridge" is a powerful testament to John Lewis's legacy and a guide for future generations striving for a more just and equitable society. We highly recommend this book to anyone dedicated to social justice and committed to making a positive impact in their communities. It serves as an inspiring reminder of the power of perseverance, compassion, and collective action.
