Housing 'Go Bag Essentials' Recommendation

UWM’s University Housing has prepared a “Go Bag Essentials” list for students to reference should they be required to quarantine or isolate because of COVID-19 positive tests or contact tracing. This information has been regularly shared with students, but families can also assist by making sure their students are prepared should they have to relocate to a different room or building within University Housing. COVID-19 Screening Test Available To Off-Campus Students

Students at the Milwaukee campus who live off-campus have several options for testing. Those with symptoms should make an appointment to be tested at Norris Health Center. Off-campus students who don’t have symptoms can get a test in the UWM Student Union beginning Friday, Sept. 25. READ MORE

Testing Updates For Waukesha, Washington County Students

Free at-home testing is now available to College of General Studies students who are showing symptoms of COVID-19. The tests are self-administered PCR tests, the same high-quality testing used at hospitals and clinics. READ MORE

UREC Offering Virtual, In-Person Opportunities

University Recreation opened the Klotsche Center and Pavilion this fall with an initial focus on cardio and strength experiences, individual activity and programming that can be offered while maintaining physical distance. While there are modifications to building hours, capacity, space availability, services and programs, there is a commitment to provide ways to experience UREC in-person in the fall. Flu Clinic Dates Set For Fall 2020 

A number of dates for 2020 Fall Seasonal Flu Clinics on the Milwaukee campus are now set. Due to COVID-19, the flu clinics will be by appointment only. An online link for making appointments will be available closer to the date of the first clinic.

UWM Food Pantry Open, Accepting Donations

The UWM Food Center and Pantry is open this fall and accepting online donations. It is currently operating Thursdays out of the 8th Note Coffeehouse in the UWM Union, with hopes of adding additional open hours during the semester. Contributions can also be made to the food pantry through their Amazon wishlist as well as through the UWM Foundation.

Impact 2-1-1 provides the latest list and hours for COVID-19 testing sites across Milwaukee County. Additionally, there is a listing of testing sites across the state, including in Waukesha and Washington County.

Effectively Navigate Today’s Remote Workplace

UWM's School of Continuing Education has scheduled a series of courses to help navigate the new “at a distance” workplace. A number of courses are still scheduled for October, November and December. Plus, business certificate and remote group training options remain available.
