Fall Welcome Activities Give Students The Chance To Get Involved

Numerous Fall Welcome activities are planned for UWM's campuses in Milwaukee, Waukesha and Washington County. In person activities will follow social distancing mandates and other campus safety policies. Criteria For Moving To All Online Instruction

UWM has devised a decision-making strategy that considers many factors when taking appropriate measures to protect the health and safety of our campus. For most criteria, there is no absolute threshold or level that dictates a pre-prescribed action. There is also a COVID-19 Dashboard which includes self-reports from students and positive tests done at Norris Health Center. The strategy allows UWM to track important data and their combined effects to manage a fluid situation. READ MORE

COVID-19 Training, Self-Reporting

UWM will be closely monitoring any potential coronavirus outbreaks on campus. To assist with that, any students who test positive for COVID-19 or have been diagnosed as infected based on their symptoms are expected to report that to the university. How to pay tuition and fees is a common question as the school year begins. UWM tuition and fees are most often paid through your student’s PAWS account. Your student can give you designate access to their PAWS account so you can view charges and assist them in paying if you choose. READ MORE

Hours For Enrollment Management Offices

The Division of Enrollment Management has announced its current remote and in-person opening hours for its various offices. This includes the Student Success Center, Career Planning and Resource Center and Office of Financial Aid. READ MORE

Restaurant Operations Updated Operating Hours

UWM's Restaurant Operations has updated its operating hours and open locations as the fall semester begins. In addition to food operations in the residence halls, a handful of service locations in the UWM Union will also be open. App and online ordering is also available for most locations. UWM's Restaurant Operations website is updated weekly with the latest open locations and hours.

Fall Semester Textbook Ordering

No matter where your students is attending classes this fall, ordering textbooks can be done online from home. Plus, free shipping is available. Milwaukee students should order from Books by eCampus. Free shipping is available for orders over $35 and the Books by eCampus store in the UWM Union is open weekdays from 10 a.m-4 p.m. Students at UWM-Waukesha should order from the bookstore on that campus, with online ordering and free shipping available. The bookstore at UWM-Washington County also has online ordering and free shipping. The stores on each campus are also open weekdays.

Rec Center, Arts And Crafts Centre Among UWM Student Union Facilities Opening This Fall

The UWM Student Union is open for the fall semester. While some individual operations and offices may remain closed or be operating with extremely limited hours, other spaces will be open with social distancing and other safety practices in place. Among the open spaces are the Rec Center and the Arts and Crafts Centre.

Off-Campus COVID-19 Testing Sites

Impact 2-1-1 provides the latest list and hours for COVID-19 testing sites across Milwaukee County. Additionally, there is a listing of testing sites across the state, including in Waukesha and Washington County.
