Faculty are invited to participate in a special Seton Hall opportunity: a “camino” in lower Manhattan —“In the Footsteps of Elizabeth”— honoring the 50th anniversary of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s canonization year as it draws to a close. It will include visits to a number of Mother Seton-related sites. There will be no cost for the trip. Additional information can be found on the Center for Faculty Development blog.

Faculty Convocation is one of our cherished traditions and a great opportunity to come together as a university community at the start of the semester. We will warmly welcome our newest faculty members while celebrating the accomplishments of colleagues being recognized for promotion and tenure, merit and completion of the ACUE Advanced Practices Teaching Program. A reception will follow immediately afterward in Bethany Hall. Please RSVP and save the date on your calendar.

As part of the appraisal process, all employees were required to complete a Self-Review by July 1, 2026. Employees with direct reports are required to complete Manager Reviews by August 30, 2026. Note that the final Sign-Off step is a required part of the process for both employees and supervisors. Appraisals are not considered complete until all sign-offs have been submitted.

Citation Tools and Format Sites

The University Libraries provides our research community with access to different reference tools to help users correctly cite their bibliographies, work cited pages, endnotes and/or footnotes. This includes the most commonly used Citation Tools such as APA, Chicago, and MLA. Examples of Citation Styles Per Discipline are featured in the “Citations and Avoiding Plagiarism” guide. Canvas Support Made Easy
Faculty can request general support, report missing courses, request course copies, merge cross-listed courses, or create Sandbox courses through the Technology Self-Service portal. Simply log in to the portal, navigate to "Common Services," and submit the Canvas Support request form.

Accessibility Resources for Faculty
The TLTC, in partnership with Disability Support Services (DSS), offers self-paced Canvas modules (10 minutes or less) with practical strategies for creating inclusive classrooms. To access the modules, visit the Enrollment page in Canvas, click Enroll in Course, then open the course from your Dashboard.

Sabbatical Acknowledgement Form Due August 12
The Office of the Provost is delighted to announce the 2026-27 Sabbatical Application Process. Submit the Sabbatical Acknowledgment Form by August 12 to indicate that you are anticipating submitting a Sabbatical Application. Based on the information provided, you will be sent the link to the application in Faculty Success. These programs provide seed funding to support innovative, high-impact projects that advance our academic mission and strengthen the student experience. We kindly ask all faculty members to upload their most current CV to Faculty Success at their earliest convenience. Maintaining up-to-date CVs helps support accreditation efforts, institutional reporting, and the accurate representation of faculty accomplishments.
