Additional Grants for Small Business

With CARES Act allocations of dollars to the City of Owatonna ($1.9M) and Steele County ($4.4M) we are anticipating another round of small business grants, this time through our local units of government.  Both City and County will reimburse their Covid-19 costs then implement the business grants.  
Watch for details on how to apply as soon as they're available.  

July After Hours Outdoors, In Person 

Join Mineral Springs Brewery as they host the July Business After Hours on Tuesday, July 28th starting at 5:30 pm; 111 N. Walnut, Owatonna.  
Safety precautions will be in place including:
  • If event is unable to be held outdoors, it will be rescheduled
  • Registration tables: 6ft Distancing at check in
  • Chamber & MSB staff will be wearing face coverings (encouraged for participants)
  • Distancing reminder signage will be posted
  • Sanitizer will be available at tables
  • If you are not feeling well, please stay home

Initiative Raises & Gives $91,300 to Small Businesses 

Program funds have been awarded to 43 businesses.  Monetary grants are on hold pending additional contributions (In Kind still available-check website for updates).  The sixth round of grant applications were awarded this week:  Jumpstart Owatonna Grants/In Kind Awarded to: Bellebrook Boutique, Central Park Framing & Finds, Holland Family Dental, Magic Ten Nails, Pure Elements Salon, Urban Loft and Vegas Nails

Sidewalk Sales in Downtown Owatonna Thursday-Saturday!  


The Owatonna Business Partnership invite you to an old fashioned sidewalk sale as downtown boutiques and retailers will have wares on tables outside their storefronts. 
Some shops have already started their seasonal sales.  Drop in when stopping downtown this Thursday to attend this weeks concert series in the park 7 @ 7 PM (Ditch Creek Dixies).  Grab a bite to eat from a local eatery and scoop up some bargains!  Many of the shops are open later on Thursdays. Just some of the participating businesses are listed at the time of print.
