  • Sunday, May 19, is the last day to make class changes in DuckWeb, including to change a grade mode or withdraw from a course with W recorded and no refund, without submitting a petition.

  • The Division of Global Engagement is hosting an educational event for students to learn from two leading scholars at the Bridging Divides: Understanding Antisemitism and Islamophobia on Wednesday, May 22, 5:00–6:30 p.m. in the Gerlinger Lounge.
  • Become a part of the suicide prevention community with ASIST, a free, two-day training that empowers participants to feel ready, willing, and able to support those with thoughts of suicide. Attendance is required for both days, Saturday and Sunday, June 1 and 2, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., in 131 Global Scholars Hall.

FUN FACT
The historic Northern Lights display visible throughout the country last week was caused by geomagnetic storm flares. According to NOAA, the sunspot that created the flares was sixteen times the diameter of Earth—almost 126,821 miles!
