In the aftermath of so much flooding, many are asking: "How can I help?" First of all, the flood buckets we collected and sent down to Sager Brown, an UMCOR warehouse in Louisiana, along with the 20,000 buckets that we saw on the warehouse racks, are being sent out as we speak. So because of what we as a church did in January, we are already helping in this way.
Another immediate way we can help is to donate to UMCOR, United Methodist Committee on Relief. You can either write a check to the church with "UMCOR Flood Relief" on the note, or you can go to their website and contribute there. UMCOR is consistently one of the major players in a natural disaster. UMCOR works with local leaders in the communities that are being affected, churches that have been designated as shelters for people who have lost homes, agencies that are assisting victims and other reputable organizations like Red Cross to amplify assistance.
I'm talking with mission leaders in our church to find other ways we can make a difference. As we pray through all of this, I'm thankful that we are engaged already in this effort through Sager Brown. Thanks so much for being the kind of church that wants to be in solidarity with those who are suffering. We'll keep everyone posted. --Bruce

We will discuss the calendar for the school year and where parent volunteers will be needed. We’ll answer questions you might have, and we’d love to hear what ideas you have for our youth program. There will be NO Sunday night youth activities after the meeting. If you feel so inclined, bring a snack to share.
