Undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, and their families are warmly invited to gather for the Opening of the Academic Year Mass as we ask for God’s blessing on the year ahead. University President Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C., will serve as presider and homilist. All are welcome.

The inaugural Notre Dame Arts Biennial, which runs January through June 2027, will feature more than 100 public events, including exhibitions, performances, community workshops, and guest artists slated to visit the South Bend area for a festival of visual, literary, spatial, and performing arts.

Yanliang Zhang, the Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Collegiate Professor in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, and colleagues have created a novel hybrid bioprinting technique that produces vascular networks containing capillaries fewer than 10 micrometers in diameter—smaller than that of the finest human hair. 

Notre Dame Learning’s Foundational Course Transformation Academy is helping departments tackle the challenges of revitalizing and redesigning high-enrollment introductory courses across the disciplines.
