New Radford University website - reminder about March 11 deadline and timeline |
As we continue to prepare for the launch of the university’s new website this summer, we are approaching an important deadline on March 11—the end of the content audit and clean-up. Please be sure to review the following timeline and take appropriate action as needed.
Timeline:
| |
- If you are a website owner or author, please be sure to complete any updates to your website by March 11.
-
After March 11, we will turn off access to the current CMS (AEM) for website owners and authors so the Marketing and Communication and Information Technology teams, in partnership with our vendor, can migrate content from the current CMS to the new one (Modern Campus CMS). For any essential web edits that come up after March 11, website owners and authors should submit requests using the IT OneSTOP ticketing process. These requests should include the URL of the page to be updated along with the clearly marked edits.
- On June 11, we will launch our new website. The first phase of the launch will include the Radford homepage and other enrollment-focused pages, including admissions, financial aid, student life and program pages.

Club and organization advisors needed |
Radford University’s Office of Student Involvement is seeking full-time faculty and staff at Radford University to serve as advisors for several of our registered student organizations.
Serving as a club advisor can be a very rewarding experience that better connects our students to this community. Student Involvement currently has two organizations looking for advisors, Sister 2 Sister and Xclusive Division, but it anticipates more groups seeking advisors as the annual re-registration process begins.
If you are willing to serve as an advisor for a student organization, please fill out an interest form on RU Involved via the link below. The Student Involvement staff will reach out to you about next steps.

Radford Student leads national conversation on research |
“Working with Cora was a dream come true,” said CUR Communication and Content Manager Todd Waggoner. “She brought an energy and authority that was truly impressive.” Reflecting on the event, Burt said, “As a current undergraduate research student, I never envisioned myself in a leadership role or as an ‘expert’ at such a prestigious event. This experience offered an invaluable opportunity for personal growth in communication and design skills, which are essential in my field of study.”
Wirgau added, “Seeing Cora deftly respond to faculty and administrators’ questions from across the country was a reminder of why we go into education in the first place and how transformative research experiences are. Cora shared her experiences coming to Radford University as an artist but not a researcher. She discovered that she was not only a researcher, but she had valuable information to share with the CUR community.”
