Teach-In 2025: Critical conversations do not have to be difficult. They just have to begin. Be a part of GVSU’s 13th annual Teach-In happening November 12th and 13th, 2025. This two-day event is built around student, faculty, and staff voices, all coming together to explore and challenge systems of inequity and oppression, while working toward justice and liberation. Learn about different perspectives while advocating for yourself and others.

Know Your Rights: It is always important for individuals to be informed of their rights and how to effectively use them when needed. On November 14th, the Inclusion and Equity Institute and presenters, Alissa Heynen, Immigrant Justice Corps Fellow, and Sarah Schoettle, Managing Attorney, will teach what constitutional rights you hold regardless of your citizenship. Participants will learn how to exercise their rights and how to help others to do the same.

Graduate Wellness Wednesdays: Graduate Wellness Wednesdays is a drop-in event most Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the University Club (City Campus- DeVos 107C). These sessions are designed for graduate students to relax, enjoy some freebies, and feel at ease discussing a weekly topic. Wellness Wednesdays give graduate students the opportunity to meet other graduate students as well as get connected with campus resources. The next session, Intellectual Wellness, is on November 12th.

Etiquette Dinner: Have you wanted to learn about etiquette in a dining setting? The Career Center is hosting a free Etiquette Dinner on November 19th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to explore the difference between Continental and American style dining. Through a provided three-course dinner, you will learn interpersonal and networking skills which will be useful for internships, jobs, and other professional settings.

Circle Mirror Transformation: Whether you are looking for an event for a date night, night out with friends, or a solo enjoyment, the Theatre at Grand Valley has you covered. Come enjoy Circle Mirror Transformation by Annie Baker, directed by Demetria Thomas. Immerse in a show about five people that sign up for an acting class and see the ways they connect, grow, and change through touching and humorous dialogue. Showings begin on November 14th.
