On June 20, DeWayne Simpson, team leader of All in for Asta, hosted a Pickleball and Ping Pong Tournament to raise funds for his StairClimb team, using the passion fundraising platform. He asked friends, family, colleagues, clients, and pickleball enthusiasts to buy tickets ($75 per pair) to enter the tournament, and he provided the venue, brackets, winner’s trophy, and food and drinks for all who attended.
Â
In total, he had almost 30 people participate, and they raised more than $3,000 through this event that rolled up to his StairClimb team total, which helped him get to the top fundraising team spot! DeWayne said, “Teams were cheering for all teams, clapping and celebrating. A true community event wrapped around a great cause.”
Â
Have you been thinking about additional ways to fundraise for your team? Reach out to Kristi at krmcallister@cff.org to learn more about the platform and get your passion fundraiser set up.

The CF Foundation is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and healthy experience for individuals attending Foundation Events. Individuals attending CF Foundation events must abide by the Foundation's Attendance Policy (www.cff.org/attendancepolicy) and accompanying guidelines, which include guidance for event attendees living with cystic fibrosis.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has unrestricted financial reserves of about 13 times its 2026 operating budget. These reserves are largely a result of the Foundation's successful venture philanthropy model, through which we have raised and invested hundreds of millions of dollars to help discover and develop breakthrough CF therapies. These funds and any future revenue from our model are reinvested into the CF Foundation's mission to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with CF the opportunity to lead long, fulfilling lives.
