Dear De La Salle Community:
Welcome to our Diamond Jubilee! The 2025-2026 school year marks our 60th year of educating the minds and touching the hearts of Spartans. Since 1965, our commitment to forming Men of Faith, Integrity, and Scholarship has been our rallying cry to ensure that lives are transformed and communities are bettered.
This school year will prove an exciting one: from the launch of our House System to the third phase of our curriculum expansion; from global trips to continued progress on our Strategic Plan 2028: Our Pathway to Our Future, as our daily announcement crew entones, “It’s a beautiful day to be a Spartan!” Look up in the parking lot, and you will see new imagery that showcases our legacy and the values we instill in our young men. Look around and you will see a vibrancy that few can match. Look inside and you will see how De La Salle has helped make you or your child a more other-centered person. This place, and this time, is special and sacred, and I am honored to partner with you in making it so. Our Founder, St. John Baptist de La Salle, knew well the joy that comes with education when he shared, “To be entrusted with the teaching of the young is a great gift and grace of God” (Med 201.1). Indeed!
As you peruse this Spartan Spotlight, pay attention to the items that will help you engage with the school community. Take the opportunity to partner with us in making the school year successful. Most of all, give yourself the gift of watching with delight the growth and transformation that continues to happen each and every day on Winton Drive. Let’s make it a great year, and do so together!
Warmly yours,
David J. Holquin
President
