A Message from Dr. Melissa Gormley, College of Liberal Arts and Education Dean
Happy holidays! On Saturday, we were excited and happy to see the University of Wisconsin-Platteville College of LAE graduates walk across the stage at fall commencement. We are proud of them for investing the time and dedication necessary to be successful in school. We wish them the very best as they embark on the next phase of their life journey. Congratulations to senior speaker Kristen Kopp, a psychology major from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who started the ceremony with her address; and to UW-Platteville 1988 alumna Julie Piper, who served as the principal speaker for the College of LAE and Graduate Studies ceremony. Congratulations also, to Dr. Joan Riedle, Professor of Psychology at UW-Platteville, who was chosen to serve as the marshal for the ceremony; and to Emily Drews, an English major from Muscoda, Wisconsin, who was the College of LAE valedictorian. I hope everyone enjoys winter break and comes back refreshed for the spring semester.
