The Future of Real Estate Is Here, and It’s Powered by AI |
Most Americans (82%) use AI to navigate housing market information, according to a survey from Realtor.com.
The survey found that the most popular AI platforms for gathering real estate insight are ChatGPT (67%) and Gemini (54%). Many respondents (90%) said they also turn to social media for housing-related content, specifically YouTube (73%) and Facebook (57%). For GenZ, TikTok takes the cake (76%).
“The housing market remains a challenge for both buyers and sellers, and Americans are responding by embracing new ways to get smarter about their decisions,” said Realtor.com® Chief Economist Danielle Hale. “From AI platforms to social media, consumers are expanding where they turn for insights. This shift shows that the future of real estate will be shaped not only by market conditions, but also by how quickly people adopt fresh tools and perspectives to navigate them.”
Of all the available information sources, respondents said they felt the following were a positive use of their time:
Real estate agents (65.6%), AI (61.9%), Friends, family and neighbors (57.8%), Television (55.1%), Social media (52.6%), News (52.0%).
While this proves that REALTORS® are still a vital voice in the research process for those active in the real estate market, those who harness the power of AI are at an advantage. There is truly no better time to invest in your AI education than now. SRA: Upper Darby Passes EIT

After years of debate and multiple legal challenges, Upper Darby Township Council voted 6-3 to enact a 1% earned income tax, effective Jan. 1, 2026. The measure, which followed five hours of discussion and public comment, will apply to most residents’ gross income, with exemptions for military pay and people earning under $12,000 annually. Supporters, including Mayor Ed Brown, said the tax is necessary to avoid major property tax hikes and to fund projects like a new community center and public safety headquarters. Opponents argued the township should cut spending instead of imposing new taxes, with Councilmember Laura Wentz warning of hardship for lower-income residents.
