TECH RESOURCES AND COURSE SUPPLIES
STUDENT SERVICES
  • Tutoring and Academic Engagement Center Learning Specialists are available for remote appointments. Tutoring services will be available starting week two.
  • UO Libraries offers many remote library resources including librarian videoconferencing, ebooks and publications, and a Campus Virtual Lab with remote access to software.
  • As essential student services, the University Counseling, Health, and Testing Centers are all still open with some changes to their operations to follow social distancing recommendations. Check their websites for new guidelines and availability.
  • The Counseling Center's after-hours crisis and support line is open to all students. Call 541-346-3227 when the Counseling Center is closed to speak to a therapist.
  • The University Career Center is offering remote career coaching. Schedule an appointment by calling their office or through the Navigate app.
  • The Office of Academic Advising is still here for you. Find all the remote advising options available to you at this time on their website.
REMOTE LEARNING TIPS
  • Time management is key to productive learning. Keep a calendar, check in daily, use the syllabus to look ahead, and contact your professor if you start to fall behind.
  • Stay focused. Hide your phone and other distractions when tuning in to your classes. Use the transcript feature on Zoom if reading along to your lectures helps.
  • Create a designated work space. Find a consistent and quiet spot that will inspire you to work.
  • Develop a routine. Wake up the same time every day, eat a well-balanced breakfast, and develop set times for classes, work, and other responsibilities.
  • When collaborating remotely, lay out a clear plan for communication methods, have regular video check-ins as a team, and try to get to know each other socially.
EVENTS AND CONNECTION
  • The UO is hosting a virtual town hall to provide updates and answer questions related to the university's response to COVID-19 on Monday, March 30 at 2:30 p.m.
  • Join or host a virtual conversation with family or friends in your living room.
  • Try using apps like Facetime or Zoom to stay in touch with friends and family over virtual dinner dates, coffee breaks, or game nights.
  • Follow the UO Craft Center on Instagram for live tutorials and activity ideas.
RELAX AND UNWIND
  • PE classes still have room. Sign up for remote meditation classes on DuckWeb under PEMB and get credit while you unwind. Classes are pre-recorded so you can take them on your own time.
  • UO's campus radio station KWVA is still broadcasting music, news, talk shows, and more 24/7 on 88.1 FM and online.
  • If you're looking to stave off boredom and keep your mind sharp, try one of these mentally stimulating videogames
