NSC PILOT AWARD CALLS FOR APPLICATIONS

Rolling deadline
The University of Southern California and Buck Institute Nathan Shock Center is accepting applications for Pilot Research Projects and Vouchers for Core Services in the biology of aging on a rolling basis.

  • Core Vouchers are available for a single assay/technology service.
  • Pilot Projects extend larger support and typically utilize multiple assays or core services.
  • Mini-sabbaticals provide opportunities to visit in-person and learn technologies hands-on and establish collaborations with faculty experts.

Rolling deadline

CAREER DEVELOPMENT & FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

Ten Scholars will be selected, and will receive a 2-year AGE membership, travel award for the 2023 AGE meeting worth $1300, the opportunity to present your research at the AGE 2023 annual meeting, and will be paired with a senior AGE trainee chapter member for ongoing mentorship.

Rolling Deadline
The Dorothy Dillon Eweson Lecture Series provides support to encourage investigators in the field of aging research to present findings at an annual scientific or medical specialty association meeting where aging-related research is not the primary focus.

To be eligible for this award, you must:
  • have received funding from AFAR, served on an AFAR grant review committee, or be a Nathan Shock Center Investigator or Nathan Shock Center Pilot Grantee.
  • have been accepted as a speaker/presenter at an in-person meeting and provide a confirmation letter
  • not have received support through the Eweson Lecture Series in the last three years
