Cancer Control TAP Comp Cancer 101 Wiki
The GW Cancer Center's Comp Cancer 101 Wiki, a one-stop source of information for CCC coalitions, was updated to add information on different coalition organizational structures. Send us your suggestions to improve the Wiki as we refine content based on the new CDC funding cycle.
Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Work: Screening, Referral, and Shared Measures
In June, the GW Cancer Center hosted "DCPCA SDOH Work: Screening, Referral, and Shared Measures," with David Poms, MPH, Partnerships Manager at DC Primary Care Association. The presentation addressed SDOH screening and an example from the DC area. Watch and share the webinar recording with partners, especially your primary care association!
Comprehensive Cancer Control Coalitions Advancing Health Equity
The most recent installment of the Comprehensive Cancer Control National Partnership's 2022 quarterly series, held in June, featured guest speaker Jean McDougall, PhD, MPH, of the School of Medicine at the University of New Mexico. Dr. McDougall presented data on the impact of social determinants of health on food insecurity; the relationship between food insecurity and health; and suggestions for implementing universal food insecurity screening.
