The 2025–2026 school year is officially underway, and the campus is already buzzing with the joy, energy, and promise of a new beginning! Last week, we welcomed our newest Braves with a vibrant New Student Orientation — a day filled with laughter, learning, and the start of lifelong friendships. Parents joined in on the excitement, gathering for their own orientation to learn more about the Brebeuf experience and the many ways they can be part of our mission.
One of the most heartwarming moments was our annual Legacy Breakfast, where generations of Brebeuf families came together to celebrate the special bond of shared tradition. Seeing parents and students alike carry forward the spirit of our school was a powerful reminder of the deep roots and strong connections that make Brebeuf such a unique and thriving community.
As we step into this school year, we invite you — alumni, parents, students, and friends — to find ways to engage, give back, and grow with us. Whether it’s attending events, volunteering your time or mentoring the next generation of Braves, your presence and participation make Brebeuf the vibrant, faith-filled, and inclusive community we cherish.
Let’s make this year one to remember — together.
Go Braves!

ALUMNI PROFILE
Meet Scott Esteb ’20.
After a year in Yakima, WA, with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest, he’s now the education & outreach coordinator at Comfort Food Community, a food bank in upstate New York. Brebeuf, he says, sparked his passion for social justice and curiosity about the world. His advice: embrace discomfort, learn from those different from you, and lead with kindness—to others and yourself.
Name: Scott Esteb
Graduation Year: 2020
Currently reside: Hudson Falls, NY
Favorite class while at Brebeuf Jesuit?
AP US History and Mindfulness are definitely the classes I think about most post-graduation.
Favorite teacher/coach?
The entire science department - they have a special place in my heart.
What was inspiring about him/her?
The support, love, and joy they share with one another.
What are you doing now?
After finishing up a year in Yakima, WA, serving through the Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest program as a food bank coordinator, I’ll be starting a new job as the education and outreach coordinator at Comfort Food Community, a food bank out in upstate New York!
How did Brebeuf Jesuit help shape you into the person you are today?
There are so many ways Brebeuf Jesuit has shaped me to be the person I am today! The main thing that comes to mind is instilling that sense of passion for social justice and care for others. My time at Brebeuf also gave me so much opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and gain a greater sense of curiosity about the world we live in.
Words of wisdom or advice to our current students.
Here are a few thoughts I’ve really been trying to center myself around recently, so I hope someone can find some worth in them as well! Failing and being uncomfortable are all part of the process of growing and becoming someone better. It’s okay to not have it figured out or for things not to go the way you planned; they unfortunately rarely do. Be with people who are different from yourself, they can teach you so much you didn’t know. And live with grace and kindness not just to others, but also to yourself.

This intensive, 5-day professional development experience brought together high school, community college, and university educators from all over the country to build confidence in teaching biotech by engaging in hands-on labs and experiments.
We are honored to have been selected to host this event and showcase our campus to educators nationwide.
A huge thank you to Sherry Annee for leading this initiative and making this workshop possible at Brebeuf Jesuit!

Join Us September 15-19 for Philanthropy Week!
Each fall, our Brebeuf Jesuit community unites to support The Brebeuf Fund in an inspiring one-week effort, highlighting the importance of philanthropy and its role in being men and women for others during Philanthropy Week.
Philanthropy Week begins on Monday, September 15, and ends with Giving Day on Friday, September 19.
This Giving Day, please join us as we continue our important work in forming Braves who will carry the torch of St. Ignatius. Let us celebrate this incredible and special community that has showcased the respect and understanding needed to drive our new year, to care for one another in remarkable ways, and to showcase what it means to be for others.
Here’s how you can help us celebrate Giving Day:
- Give a Gift! Help us reach our goal of 250 donors on Giving Day by making a gift to The Brebeuf Fund. Gifts received beginning September 12 through Giving Day on September 19 will be counted in our #BrebeufGives Philanthropy Week totals. Visit brebeuf.org/give to make your gift online.
- Share Your Story! Tell the world what it means to you to be a part of the Brebeuf Jesuit community and why you give by using the hashtag #BrebeufGives.
- Get Your Friends and Family Giving! Every gift to The Brebeuf Fund narrows the gap between tuition and the cost of educating a Brebeuf Jesuit Brave! And, it provides the critical funds needed to ensure all Brebeuf Jesuit students are able to receive a Brebeuf education. Support for Financial Aid is our greatest need, and Brebeuf Champions make the difference!
