UNO Anthropology Professor and Students Head To Berlin For Excavation Project |
University of New Orleans anthropology professor Ryan Gray and a team that includes UNO students will spend part of the summer near Berlin, Germany excavating what is believed to be a crash site of a U.S. bomber from World War II.

| In Memoriam: Professor Tarun Mukherjee |
University of New Orleans finance professor Tarun Mukherjee, who spent more than four decades as a faculty member at the University of New Orleans where he established a scholarship, created a $50,000 student-managed fund, and help create an on-campus finance trading lab, died June 11. He was 78.

Jeff Lorio Named Louisiana Coach of the Year for the Second Time, Bennett and Weber Named All-Louisiana |
Three Privateers have earned recognition from the Louisiana Sports Writers Association for their efforts during the 2023-2024 season. Head Coach Jeff Lorio was named Louisiana's Coach of the Year for the second time following another record-breaking campaign, while juniors Kyle Bennett and Matt Weber were named second-team All-Louisiana by the LSWA on Wednesday afternoon.
