On-Campus Checklist

Returning to campus and don’t know where to start? Visit the Return to Campus webpage to review the steps needed prior to arriving for work or study. If you have further questions, additional resources are provided as well as ways to stay informed of the latest updates.

Reminder: Submit Vaccination Documentation

If you have not already done so, please submit your vaccination documentation as soon as possible. All students and employees must provide proof by Sept. 6 to comply with the UC mandate. Those requesting an exception or deferral must submit by Sept. 2.

Delay in Processing Vaccine Exceptions

Please note that Sedgwick, our third-party administrator that is managing the exception and deferral request process, is experiencing delays in processing requests. We have a record if you have initiated a request through the Qualtrics survey. If you are unsure about whether your request is pending, do not submit another request, but instead reach out to SDVaxRO@health.ucsd.edu to confirm your request is pending.

Library Buildings Scheduled to Fully Reopen

The UC San Diego Library is pleased to announce the full reopening of the Biomedical Library Building on September 7, 2021 and Geisel Library on September 13, 2021. For the first time since March 2020, UC San Diego students, faculty, staff and the general public may access The Library's in-person resources, services and spaces without restrictions during open hours.

Keeping Tritons Safe

No single defense method against COVID-19 is invulnerable, but the Return to Learn program applies multiple layers of defense to offset the weakness in any single layer. As depicted by the Swiss Cheese Model, these layers include screening and testing, quarantine after exposure, isolation after a positive test, utilizing the CA Notify app, wearing a mask and getting vaccinated. Question: How can I register to receive a daily reminder to complete the required symptom and exposure screening?
Answer: If you have not yet registered for the screener, or if you initially indicated you did not want to receive a daily reminder, you can enter the registration form again and change your settings.
Once you select “Yes” to receiving daily reminders, you will see an email with a link to the screener each morning at 3:45 a.m. Please complete this prior to arriving on campus for work or classes. Your results will guide you on whether you need testing or if you should stay home if symptomatic.
