Summer Book Clubs Registration Is Open! |
The CTE is hosting 3 book clubs this summer! We supply the books and facilitate the discussions (via Zoom). Join your colleagues and engage in dialogue around teaching and learning topics. Each book club is limited to 12 participants. Please note: Book discussion registration and participation are limited to 1 book per person.

Journal AI Special Issue Webinar: |
Opportunities and Submission Guidance |
Miami faculty and staff are invited to a webinar to promote an upcoming special issue of the Journal on Excellence in College Teaching: Reimagining Learning Outcomes Through AI-Enhanced Pedagogy. The Journal’s editor-in-chief, Gregg Wentzell, and issue guest editors Lew Ludwig, Denison University, and Aubrey Wang, Saint Joseph’s University, will explain the issue’s focus, offer guidance on preparing a manuscript submission, and answer questions.
Webinar: Tuesday, May 6, from 2:00-2:50 pm (via Zoom)
Manuscript submissions for the issue are due August 1, 2025.

Generative AI for Teaching: |
This in-person workshop is for new AI users who will engage strategies to facilitate their work as teachers and investigate useful strategies for supporting students’ learning, including guided, discipline-specific, and personalized exploration and experimentation with GenAI.

Preparing a Successful Proposal Submission for the Lilly Conference |
The 44th Original Lilly Conference on College Teaching is November 20-22 at Armstrong Student Center. Join your colleagues for a webinar discussion (via Zoom) on how to craft and submit a successful Conference proposal. Learn about the criteria for proposals, the most common reasons proposals are rejected, and the features that will make your proposal stand out.
Lilly proposals are due June 23, 2025.
