Celebrating Grandparents

On Thursday, March 5, we will roll out the red carpet for our true stars - Valor grandparents! At the "Grammy" Awards, Valor grandparents will enjoy a fun and interactive program, lunch with grandchild, a meet and great reception and even attend a class at Valor. 
Please RSVP for each grandparent, attendance is free.

When it comes to safeguarding the student community, Valor’s mentor program, Sources of Strength, is implementing new strategies to empower students to create their own change.

  • Thursday, February 13 - Students dismissed at 1:25 pm
  • Friday, February 14 - No school, in-service day for staff and faculty
  • Monday, February 17 - No school for President's Day
  • Tuesday, February 18 - Modified schedule beginning at 10:00 am with Red block

Explore Practicum Offerings

With over 25 Practicum opportunities, there's something for everyone. Check out a few of these awesome trips:
  • New York City (March 25-28): Trip participants will visit some of NYC's most well-known sites like Times Square, the Empire State Building, Wall Street, the 9/11 Memorial and more. They will also visit trend-setting corporations, participate in a marketing clinic, and attend a Broadway show. Learn More and Register.
  • Create Your Plate (March 23-26, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm): Students will start with basic food safety and knife skills, followed by the development of flavor profiles. Each skill set will build upon the next leading up to composing a full meal. On the last day, students will invite a guest to share in their culinary journey by partaking in their made from scratch meal! Course Request Week

From March 9-13, returning students will turn in their paperwork requesting courses for the 2020-2021 school year. Students will receive more information in the coming weeks from the Academic Counseling department.

Faculty/Staff Appreciation

The VPA requests your help in showing appreciation to staff for all they do. They are seeking donations for two special events in February in April as well as some fun treats for Teacher Appreciation Week in May. Any amount you can contribute is appreciated!

Poms Sets Program Record at Nationals

Last week at Nationals in Orlando, our Poms team finished 6th in Jazz and 17th in poms for their best finish ever in program history. Watch the video for their award-winning Jazz performance.
This weekend, Cheer takes their turn to compete at the national stage. Congratulations to both teams!
