Our final Howling Success of 2025 is a student who has found a home in the University Theatre community, acting in and directing several productions. He is going on to study Shakespeare and Performance in graduate school.

- Arts NC State and the Office of University Interdisciplinary Programs (OUIP), have announced minigrants to support Art and Science projects at NC State. Learn more and submit a proposal by Dec. 19.
- Register for the De-Stress Fest Immersive Soundscape Experience for employees, with two sessions available on Dec. 10.
- Give the gift of experience this season! Tickets are available for NC State LIVE’s production of Ranky Tanky on Jan. 23.
- Kirsten Paige, an associate teaching professor in the Department of Performing Arts and Technology, is currently on scholarly reassignment at Harvard/Dumbarton Oaks working on her second book, which has been recruited for inclusion in the University of California Press’ newly launched series, California Studies in Global Musicology.
- Julio Teran, an academic advisor and lecturer in the Engineering first-year program who worked with the Office of Undergraduate Research on a CURE grant last year, has now published a summary of his project with multiple undergraduate co-authors.
- Dec. 30 is a required leave day and permanent employees must use applicable leave (annual leave, bonus leave, special bonus leave, comp time or personal observance day leave). Remember that your personal observance leave is “use it or lose it,” so it must be used before the end of each year.
